World music traditions have their own origins and integrity. Springing from creative soils very different from western classical music, they have their indigenous languages, artistic aesthetics, and musical forms and approaches.
In this, Halcyon's Deep Dive series, we will explore these creative soils. We will hear from those who have spent their lives immersing themselves in a world music tradition and have learned its unique language. They will share their personal journey and, from the inside, explain the tradition as it exists on its own terms.
