Join musician, composer, music therapist, professor and cantorial student Lisa Sokolov for an introductory immersion into Embodied VoiceWork, a physical soulful practice investigating non-verbal singing as a form of prayer. Drawing on developmental movement, deep listening, and playful non-verbal dialogue, Sokolov will use her Embodied VoiceWork technique to explore non-verbal singing as prayer within the context of sacred and Jewish spiritual practice.

This program welcomes people of all religions/spiritual backgrounds.

Embodied VoiceWork is a transformational physical, psycho-spiritual practice used in Arts Education, Music Therapy and Human Potential work. This play explores the power within freeing one's voice and exploring the language of non-verbal improvisational singing. Through opening consciousness, breath and tone into the body, we lay pathways for communication with ourselves, each other, music and the divine.
