Service Description

Each month, we will travel ancient but ever new terrain, paths long forgotten or dimly remembered, faraway lands and ancient truths. Like archeologists, we will uncover new insights, inspiration for our personal journeys, and even hope for the future of humanity and the earth. On the first Sundays each month beginning October 2, we will take up the study of spiritual texts from a world tradition. Texts may take the form of scripture, poetry, prayers, aphorisms, or teaching stories. Always, our discussions will be respectful, opening our minds and hearts to each other and perennial truths at the heart of the world's spiritual traditions. We will meet on Zoom at 7:00 pm the first Sunday of each month (except January 1, 2023). On October 2, we will begin with the words of indigenous peoples and continue each month through the the great religions of the world: Taoism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Ancient Greek religion, Islam, and Christianity. There is one inexpensive book to be purchased for all sessions. PLEASE NOTE: Tuition amount is flexible. The suggested donation is $50 for the 8 sessions. If this is not affordable (or you wish to offer more to support others who may wish to attend but do not have the funds), you can pay any amount. Thank you.
